Check out ‘Firangi’ Trailer starring Kapil Sharma!

FIRANGI

The comedian turned actor Kapil Sharma was seen in the film ‘Kis Kisko Pyar Karoon’ in 2015. His next much-awaited film ‘Firangi’ has unleashed its trailer. The movie is set in Punjab and speaks about the British colonial rule in India. Kapil’s character in the film is called ‘Manga’ and he believes that British Raj is of no harm. He does not know the shackles that British rule has imposed on his country and lives his daily life. Manga does not care much about the freedom struggle. This was the point where the freedom movement was gaining momentum in India and Manga was not much concerned about what is happening around him.

Kapil’s character Manga begins introspecting himself when he falls in love and the father of his ladylove opposes their marriage as he is British empathiser. His life fills with tension and he comes at a point where he needs to choose between love and loyalty. To displease his lover and other villagers, Manga lands a job with British authorities. He fights for his love and it forms the rest of the story.

Produced by Kapil Sharma’s K9 Films, the film ‘Firangi’ is helmed by Rajeev Dhingra and also features Ishita Dutta, Edward Sonneblick, Monica Gill, Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Jameel Khan, Inaamulhaq, Vishal O Sharma, Aanjjan Srivastav. ‘Firangi’ will hit the screens on November 24 and clashes with ‘Tumhari Sulu’ that releases on the same day.

Kapil Sharma will be seen essaying a subtle, soft-spoken character in this film. Rather than punchlines, there will be conversational humour in it. The fans will like Kapil’s new side of personality dipped in the shades of sepia in this venture, as he has overshadowed the comedian in him for this role. The movie ‘Firangi’ seems to be a light hearted watch.
