It was was enthralling start for the film Kalank on day one when it crossed 20 crores figure at the box office. The makers expected similar figures at the box office. The film has everything one can wish for, which also include the item song Aira Gaira having Kriti Sanon at the center. This is not just her first item song as she has done another dance number called Aao Kabhi Haveli Par from the film Stree. Now, she is back with another in Kalank with Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur seen in it.
Kalank has been the dream project for Karan Johar as his father wanted to make this film but it did not work for his later dad. The film is a love story with all the drama in the period drama. Kriti Sanon who was the part of the song in the film felt honored to be the part of Karan Johar film. She spoke about the song and went candid about what she felt while working in the film. She said that she always wanted to work in Karan Johar film and it was in her wish list ever since she landed in Bombay.
She continued stating that she is glad that she got this opportunity to start her terms with Karan Johar and his production banner – Dharma Productions. She said she is obliged to get such an interesting item number for the film and wishes to work more on such projects with the filmmaker. She also informed that the moment she got a call from Karan Johar for the song, she readily accepted it jumping out of joy. She said she is very much passionate about dance and music and loved being the part of the film with this song.
