After a long gap, the sequel – Welcome Back is in discussion in the media. The filmmakers of Welcome Back has now embarked with its trailer of around 3.35 minutes of videos. The trailer showcases the two Bhais (Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar) in action who again seen hunting a groom for their sister Shruti Haasan. The girl then falls in love with a man played by John who is not less than any Bhai (replacing Akshay Kumar from the prequel). If you look at the trailer, you find Anees Bazmee treading the same path or story line with having a sister whom they are on a hunt to find a girl. Besides, you have the certain additions in the sequel, which are found in the form of Dimple Kapadia, Shiney Ahuja and Naseeruddin Shah in the comedy flick.
At one go, one of the most striking features of this Theatrical Trailer of Welcome Back is the presence of certain Huge Scale sequences in it. These include the Helicopter Shots, The Action in Desert, Aerial Shots, The Huge Tall Buildings and The Car’s. Hence, the trailer of Welcome Back is basically seems to be the display of the huge scale of the movie rather than the core comic elements, which the filmmakers have been promising about the sequel. In other words, amidst all action, high end shooting and other similar things, the core of the film – Comedy is hampered.
However, with this level of scale found in the film, also reflects the goodwill of Anees Bazmee, which he has built around himself in terms of comedies. In a sense, this gives a feeling that the film will embark over the silver screen with loads of comic elements though the trailer released recently has failed to deliver the same, thanks to the badly edited trailer. The film seems to be a typical comedy film having all the spices it had in the prequel. Now, let’s see how things go on when the film finally hits the theatre on 4th September 2015.
