Welcome 2 Karachi- First Weekend Box Office Report
This week, we had a couple of movies, which include the comedy satire called Welcome 2 Karachi. However, the filmmaker was smart enough to make the film release a day before the usual release day. Yet, they failed to garner the response they expected. The film was witnessed with low occupancy, which failed to acquire any kind of word of mouth buzz. Sadly, the film review too was average by most of the critics and the fervor of films like Tanu Weds Manu Returns too seen making things bad to worse for the film attracting good chunk of audience.
As per reports, the movie was able to garner a low response. The movie starring the comedy king Arshad Warsi and Jackky Bhagnani in the pivotal roles witnessed a low figure over the box office. The first weekend box office collection for Welcome 2 Karachi tolled to around 1.25 crores over the domestic market. The response was good at cities like Mumbai and Delhi, while at most of the places it was low.
Although Welcome 2 Karachi was one of the only new release, which has survived over the box office. The last week’s release called Tanu Weds Manu Returns is still seen dominating the multiplexes and even the single screens. Welcome To Karachi is among the comic tales of two Indians who are seen landing at Karachi,Pakistan and seen stranded there without any legal document.
