After a dull first day collection, Wazir managed to get a good surge in the coming days of its first weekend. As expected, the film managed to get a steady jump during the Saturday and Sunday. Considering the only major release in B Town, the film managed was able to collect a decent collection. So, it was indeed a decent opening for Big B and Farhan Akhtar to witness the very first film of the year doing much better over the box office. The first day went to around 5 crores, while the upcoming days – Saturday and Sunday did an average collection of 8 crores in an average tolling a decent collection at the end of its first weekend.
As per reports, the first weekend box office collection tolled to around 21 crores. However, the film deserved and anticipated a much better opening than this considering the rich content and power packed performances. Though the collection seems to be lower than the Big B’s earlier film Piku that tolled to 25.22 crores in the first weekend, yet comparing the same with the previous release of Farhan Akhtar film – Shaadi Ke Side Effects, the film managed to do similar to the same giving a decent collection at the end. Let’s see how much collection the film is able to get the same in the upcoming weekdays.
