Actor Vivek Oberoi has opened up about his experience in Dubai amid the ongoing Israel–Iran conflict, echoing sentiments shared earlier by Lara Dutta. Taking to social media, Oberoi expressed deep gratitude towards the Government of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirates airline crew for their support and calm during this tense period.
Sharing a heartfelt video on Instagram, Oberoi wrote, “My deepest gratitude to the UAE leadership, the frontline heroes, and the wings of @emirates for their incredible guardianship. It’s good to be back.” In the video, he reflected on the emotional toll felt by residents from over 200 nationalities living in the UAE. “For all of us, UAE is simply home. These past few days, as geopolitical tensions grew, the distance between where I was and where my family waited felt heavier than ever. On that Emirates flight, I saw silent stories in every person’s eyes,” he said.
He praised the flight crew for their professionalism and compassion: “Hats off to the Emirates crew for maintaining calm and caring for everyone with a smile despite their own fears. When we landed, the atmosphere shifted from silent anxiety to collective relief. Walking through the terminal, I was moved to tears seeing daughters throw themselves into their parents’ arms and fathers lifting their little ones high.”Oberoi also shared the anxiety he felt thinking about his children during the journey. “My heart raced the entire flight, thoughts fixed on my kids.
