Actor Vivek Oberoi, after dubbing for Jamie Foxx’s character in the Hindi version of Hollywood film “The Amazing Spiderman 2” said that the only reason he agreed to lend his voice to the character Electro as Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx is portraying it and he is a huge fan of the actor.
During the trailer launch of the Hindi version of the movie Vivek told the reporters,” “I am a huge fan of Jamie Foxx’s. I love his work. The minute Sony Pictures told me, ‘You have to be Jamie Foxx’s voice’, I was excited.” The actor also admitted that it was an intimidating task because the performance by the actor in the initial part was so difficult. It was very difficult to interpret what he is saying and how he is saying. He said that he had to hear the voices in English, read the Hindi script and then recite the lines, synchronizing his lips with the original English words. “But then it became easier eventually and I enjoyed a lot and I completed the dubbing in two days,” said Vivek.
It is not the first time that actor has dubbed for the film. The 37-year-old actor is well experienced and also has dubbed for few films and international TV series like “Small Wonder”, “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Restless.”
In India the movie is set to release on 2nd May. It serves as a sequel to the 2012 film The Amazing Spider-Man. The movie features Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone in the lead role.
