Kesari 2 Box Office Collection: Day 10 Update Akshay Kumar film inching to enter the 100 Crore Club

The patriotic fervor surrounding Hindi cinema this year appears to be benefiting box office performances significantly. Following Chhaava, which has emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, Akshay Kumar is enjoying a successful year with hits like Sky Force and his latest release, Kesari: Chapter 2. One noteworthy aspect of the film’s performance is that it has become the preferred choice for Hindi audiences this weekend, outperforming its earnings from the Monday to Thursday period following its release.

On its second Sunday, Kesari: Chapter 2 garnered Rs 8.15 crore, marking an impressive tally compared to the previous Sunday, which earned Rs 12 crore. The film’s nett domestic collection now stands at Rs 65.45 crore, and it is on track to join the Rs 100 crore club globally. Given the positive reception, it seems likely that this milestone will be reached within a few days.The film had a respectable occupancy rate of 29.02%, with afternoon and evening shows drawing 33.98% and 41.74%, respectively. Notably, the highest occupancy rates were observed in cities like Chennai (52.25%) and Bengaluru (45.25%).

Currently, Kesari: Chapter 2 ranks fifth among the top 10 Bollywood movies of the year, trailing behind Chhaava, Sky Force, Sikandar, and Jaat. In comparison, on Day 10, Jaat earned Rs 3.75 crore, Sikandar brought in Rs 1.5 crore, and Sky Force made Rs 5.5 crore. Only Chhaava surpassed Kesari: Chapter 2‘s Day 10 earnings, with a whopping Rs 40 crore.

As Kesari: Chapter 2 continues to regain momentum in its second weekend, the filmmakers are keen to capitalize on its success, especially with another major release looming on the horizon. The Akshay Kumar film has already withstood competition from titles like Sunny Deol’s Jaat and other regional hits such as Good Bad Ugly (Tamil) and Thudarum (Malayalam). However, its biggest challenge may come this Thursday with the release of Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated sequel, Raid 2.
