The south Indian movie fans have the time to rejoice, as Vijay’s much awaited Bairavaa has been cleared with a U certificate. A film with a run time of 2 hrs 45 minutes, the film has its official release on January 12. The advance bookings seem to be in full swing! This is reportedly Vijay’s 11th film to have cleared off with a clean U. Ever since this news has been out, #BairavaaonJan12 is being seen trending. The trailer was out on December 31st as a New Year gift, it garnered 3.5M views in 1 day.

The mass avatar of Vijay has some punch dialogues and the epic action scenes have been loved by fans. The other highlight is his adorable chemistry with Keerthy Suresh. The two are coming together for the first time, but they seem very comfortable in their debut film itself. The film also stars Jagapathi Babu as the lead antagonist. The film is directed by Bharathan. This film will mark Vijay’s 60th project. We are super excited after all it’s an Ilayathalapthy film!

While his 60th film is all set to hit theatres, his 61st project is already the current topic of discussion. He is teaming up with Theri director – Atlee for the second time. After their hit film Theri, they are back together with a whole new story. This time, there will be three female leads – Samanth Ruth Prabhu, Kajal Aggarwal and Jyothika.

Bairavaa won’t be the only release this Pongal. Chiranjeevi is making a grand comeback to the big screen after 8 long years with his 150th film – Khaidi no 150. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal. Another star making a comeback is Nandamuri Balakrishna as Gautamiputra Satakarni. This film directed by award winning director Krish promises a historical themed visual treat. The movie also stars Hema Malini, Shriya Saran. Suriya’s Singam 3 and Haniska’s Bogan that were to release in December last year will also release in January.
