Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger disappoints fans as they term it as a ‘formula-driven movie without a good story’

Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger is finally available in theatres and viewers are actively presenting their opinion of the movie after watching it. Well, it seems like all the hard work of the team went in vain as the film disappoints fans. The movie which was released in theaters today has received mixed responses on Twitter with a large number of audiences calling it ‘formula-driven’.

Netizens praised his look-transformation into an MMA fighter. However, they called his hard work ‘a wasted opportunity since the film couldn’t match their expectations.

Filmmakers planned a big release and opened early at 4 am in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu. Even after the pre-release promotions and publicity, Liger couldn’t get a positive response from the fans. A Twitter user wrote: “What a piece of shit” while the other called it a ‘disaster’. Another user praised Vijay’s transformation calling it ‘stunning’, but termed it as a wasted opportunity since the plot is formula-based and lacks a story.

Meanwhile, Vijay in a recent interview said that he is not afraid about the film’s fate as his mother’s blessings, god’s support, and people’s love is with him.

Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger is helmed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Puri Jagannath’s Puri Connects starring Ananya Pandey as the female lead. It also features Mike Tyson, Ramya Krishnan, and Ronit Roy as prominent characters. The movie which was promoted as a pan-India film released today i.e. on August 25 in Tamil and Telugu. Its Hindi version will be available in theatres in the next two days i.e. Friday.
