Vicky Kaushal & Meghna Gulzar Come together for Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw biopic

The last time we saw the actor Vicky Kaushal working with Meghna Gulzar was in the film Raazi with Alia Bhatt in the leading lady role. Vicky was later seen in Uri: The Surgical Strike and impressed playing a fictional officer who carried out the air strikes in POK area to avenge the killings of Indian Jawans. Just when he is choosing other films Post Uri, we now hear that he has confirmed for another Meghna Gulzar film to be made on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.

The lady filmmaker is all set to make a biopic on the veteran Army officer who has ample of contribution for the country. His life has been an inspiration to countless people who keep the Indian Army at the pedestal. Meghna Gulzar is currently busy in her next film called Chhappak, which is also a biopic made on the life of an acid attack survivor with Deepika Padukone. The film is in the post-production stage. Now we hear confirmed reports that she would be coming along with another biopic having Vicky Kaushal in it.

The filmmaker has also finalized the draft of the biopic film and has shared with Vicky by calling him at her place for a cold coffee. She said that the actor was ready even to do the film without actually reading the script. However, when she insisted the actor read it and liked it. He then left to the US after giving his consent to the lady for his next film. The story has been written by the Raazi fame writer Bhavani Iyer along with Shantanu who is the director of Badhaai Ho. Talking about the film, she said it won’t be a typical biopic as she has only showcased the interesting aspects of his life rather than covering his entire life.
