It seems that the year 2020 is going tough on Bollywood as we have already lost so many actors and celebs from Tinsel Town. Just when people have not come out from the shocking news of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, we hear yet another one seeing the lady Saroj Khan passing away at the age of 71 leaving behind hordes of fans, family members and friends. She was admitted at Guru Nanak Hospital, Bandra last month on 20th.
The veteran choreographer had severe diabetes along with other related illnesses, however, she was also tested for COVID 19 but tested negative for the fatal virus. She is survived by her hubby, daughter Hina Khan and son Hamid Khan apart from hordes of other relatives and friends in Mumbai. She was getting treatment in the Mumbai based hospital and was supposed to get the discharge in the next two days for recovering from the ailment. But considering her extreme diabetic condition led her the cardiac arrest.
She has directed more than 2000 songs in Bollywood and other movies. She started working at the tender age of three while her first break in Bollywood as an independent choreographer came with the film Geeta Mera Naam in 1974. She bagged national awards thrice for her work. Some of her iconic songs which she had directed include Hawa Hawai from Mr India, Ek Do Teen from Tezaab, Dola Re Dola from Devdas and Dhak Dhak Karne Laga from Beta to name a few. Her cremation is likely to take place today.
