Veteran actor Viju Khote (Sholay’s Kalia)Passes Away at 77

Yes! The veteran actor who played Kalia for the epic film Sholay has passed away at the age of 77. The sorrowful demise of the popular Bollywood actor came in picture as her suffered from multiple organ failure which was adjudged as his cause of death.

The veteran Hindi and Marathi film-theatre actor Viju Khote passed away today, Monday due to a series of multiple organ failure. He was 77.
The talented actor has been most famous for playing the role of a dacoit Kalia in Sholay and Robert in Andaz Apna Apna. He was learnt to set to demise at his residence. The news has extended a number of condolences messages showering in from the other Bollywood players. This came as very sad news to his family and the Bollywood industry as well.

Actor Bhavana Balsavar, niece of Viju Khote took onto a media platform informing the sad news, “He passed away today at 6.55am peacefully in his sleep at the residence. He has been unwell since quite sometime. He had multiple organ failure,” actor Bhavana Balsavar.
She further added that, “He did not wish to die in the hospital so we had brought him home few days ago. It is a great loss for all of us.”

As known, the last rites of the actor will be performed at Chandan Wadi around 11am in the morning.
Khote is well known for his featured appearance in a league of popular films Bollywood films like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Ventilator and the TV show Zabaan Sambhalke.
