Veteran actor Chandrashekhar passes away at age of 97 without any health conditions

Today, on Wednesday, the Indian Film Fraternity lost veteran actor Chandrashekhar, the actor passed away at the age of 97.

He was popularly known for playing the lead in Cha Cha Cha, Ramayana and Arya Sumant in TV Series. He also served as the president of CINTAA from 1985 to 1996. The veteran actor appeared in more than 250 films.

He started his career with the film ‘Surang’ which was released in 1953. He was also part of some major films like Kanyadaan, Gateway of India, Fashion, Kaali Topi Laal Rumaal and many more.

The actor left was heavenly abode at 7 am on Wednesday morning, his son confirmed the same in the news. He also revealed that the actor passed away when he was asleep without any health conditions.

Talking to Etimes, his son informed, “He was in the hospital for a day, last Thursday. We brought him back home and had kept all facilities including oxygen at our disposal if the need would arise. He was okay last night. The end was peaceful.”

The news of his demise had saddened many today. May his soul rest in peace.
