UT69 Twitter Review: Raj Kundra’s Jail-Life Film Earns the Dubious Title of ‘Worst Movie of 2023
Raj Kundra made his acting debut with the release of UT69, which chronicles his time as an undertrial in a pornography case at Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail. Kundra, the husband of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, was taken into custody on allegations of producing pornographic material. He has previously stated that he wanted to tell his own story through film, as he was never given the opportunity to do so before.
Shilpa Shetty posted rushes from UT69 on Instagram on Friday, praising Kundra’s ability to find inspiration in suffering. She wrote, “My dearest Cookie, I know I say many things… but, this is something I want you to remember! YOU are special and brave, and I am soooo proud of you (emojis). Many people go through hardships… some become cynical, some bitter, and some even change.
What is admirable is how YOU have taken it all in your stride and embraced life’s journey with positivity. UT69 celebrates the human spirit and shows how one can turn adversities into strength. You’re a living example of that. We all have our journeys – and you have endured yours with faith and patience.”
