Legendary actor Dilip Kumar has been hospitalized due to breathing issues

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been hospitalized today (Sunday) morning at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. Earlier, the 98-year-old legendary actor was hospitalized for a normal health checkup. He was in the hospital for two days and then got discharged. Saira had told India Today, “We are here for a routine check-up for some health issues. If God is willing, we will go home soon.”

Currently, he is under observation under Cardiologist Dr. Nitin Gokhale and Pulmonologist Dr. Jalil Parkar.

ANI tweeted, “Veteran actor Dilip Kumar has been admitted to PD Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. He was having breathing issues since past few days, says his wife Saira Banu.”

“After experiencing breathlessness, we took Dilip sahab to the hospital in Khar Road at 8.30 am. Doctors are treating him and we have got a few tests done, we are awaiting reports. Please pray for him that he feels better and we can take him home quickly”, told Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu to Indianexpress.

Dilip Kumar’s brother Aslam Khan, 88 and Ehsan Khan, 90 both took their last breath last year. They both were tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus and were admitted to the Lilavati Hospital of Mumbai. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Saira had told, “We are still unable to come to terms with the passing of our brothers, Ahsan bhai and Aslam bhai. Moreover, Sahib never plans anything for his birthday. In fact, he remembers the event only when he sees the flowers sent by his friends and well-wishers, lining the drawing room and the foyer and the phone keeps ringing ceaselessly.”

Dilip Kumar was last seen in the 1998 film Qila.
