The film featuring Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam has been moving ahead with good pace and has collected a decent amount at the box office by entering into 100 Crore. This is the first movie in 2019 to enter into 100 crore club, rest all have failed miserably to perform over the box office. The film directed by Aditya Dhar has bagged a good review and amidst good buzz in the media, the film managed to enter into 100 crore after the second box office collection. Its a big achievement for the makers to see their film doing such a decent business. As per reports, the film Uri – The Surgical Strike has scored around 115.87 crores at the box office.
The film opened with 7.70 Crores on day one, and the second and third day the film scored 12.3.5 Cr and 13. 35 Cr at the box office. During the weekdays the collection went on to move on an average of around 7 crores thus achieving this figure after the second weekend. The film is a military drama and is based on the surgical strike carried out by the Indian Army to take an avenge of the Pak Army attack killing 19 Indian jawans in Kashmir. The film had good reviews that also helped the film in a big way. Also, the movie has performed well at the overseas market crossing 3 Million USD in the US.
Similarly, in Australia it has gained 33K AUD, in UK – 149 Pound, Middle East, the film has collected 709K. The total has given really a good figure for the film under the overseas collection. In fact, the film has given a tough competition to the Emraan Hashmi’s film called Why Cheat India and even to the Ranveer Singh drama movie Simmba. This will keep on till we have the Kangana Ranaut starrer movie based on the life of Jhansi Ki Rani. Also, it will have some Hollywood films releasing soon in the domestic market.
