It was Mariah Smith the writer from the magazine The Cut who wrote the controversial and problematic article on the B Town actress Priyanka Chopra and US-based Singer Nick Jonas who invited the wrath of the internet. The social trolled the lady writer that forced her to come and apologise over the microblogging site for her actions. Interestingly, this apology came after the magazine brought down the article and the issued a public apology for the same. Writing on the Twitter, Mariah said she wants to say sorry to the married couple and the readers as well as she had offended everyone with her words.
She further said that she barely condone issues like sexism, racism and xenophobia and that she takes the complete responsibility about what she has written and that she was wrong and thus feel sorry for the same. The lady writer has called Pee Cee, a global scam actor in her article. The online magazine while issuing its apology said that when the reviewed, they found out the article not par to their benchmark which made them remove the same followed by saying sorry about it.
Ever since the article appeared on the internet, it turned out to be an instant hit and many of the actors and celebrities after reading the article slammed the publication. These include Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar who went on to call the article as distasteful. Sonam tweeted about the same saying that the article shows the real face of the publication and the kind of women it has. She further said that the magazine owes the answer for this. The writer in her articles called Pee Cee to be racist, sexist and even disgusting.
