The festival will feature a first-of-its-kind global film market dedicated to South Asian filmmakers. The Tasveer Film Market (TFM) will run from October 15-17 and include a keynote speech by acclaimed filmmaker Deepa Mehta.
TFM aims to revolutionize financial and distribution models for South Asian filmmakers worldwide. The market will host various events, including a Co-Production Market, industry panels, and networking sessions.
The festival will showcase meticulously curated projects seeking producing partners, distribution deals, and sales. The Tasveer Film Fund Short Film Pitches, supported by Netflix, will offer a chance to secure a $25,000 grant.

This year’s Tasveer Film Festival will feature 110 films, including 36 world premieres, from 15 countries. The festival has championed social change through South Asian storytelling and is the only Oscar-qualifying South Asian Film Festival in the world.
The festival boasts an impressive lineup of films by women, trans, and non-binary directors, as well as a prolific jury. Some of the selected films reflect important issues from the subcontinent and diaspora, including Payal Kapadia’s feature narrative debut, All We Imagine as Light.
The 19th edition of the Tasveer Film Festival promises to be an unmissable event, featuring engaging fireside chats, post-film Q&As, and a remarkable lineup of industry talents.
