Sony Pictures India is back in the news as they have embarked with a new movie called Unfair & Lovely. As per the Bollywood Hungama reports, the film studio – Sony Pictures Films India in association with the production house- Movie Tunnel Productions were seen coming together for their next movie, which is titled as Unfair & Lovely. As per reports, the film happens to be a rib-tickling comedy, which grapples with unrelenting obsession of the movie with fair skin.

The film is set up in the backdrop of Haryana, and it showcases the story of a dusky girl, which is tamed by several prejudices and biases that are held by the Indian society against dark skin. The leading actors of the film include Randeep Hooda and Ileana D’cruz and it happens to be a joint venture of the same. As per the current narrative, the lady Ileana D’Cruz will be playing the titular role of a lady called Lovely, while she will be paired with Randeep Hooda for the first time.

Talking about the film, it has Balwinder Singh Janjua the Mubarakan and Saand Ki Aankh fame screenplay writer who is doing his debut in direction with the film. The movie happens to be critically acclaimed in the B Town as it talked about the empowerment of women. The music of the film is composed by Amit Trivedi, whereas the lyrics have been jotted by Irshad Kamil. Mr. Vivek Krishnani who happens to be the Managing Director, who confirmed about the same.
