Ugly Movie Synopsis
Ugly is depicted to be an upcoming Bollywood psychological thriller. It is an emotional drama movie that is directed and written by Anurag Kashyap. This movie stars Ronit Roy, Girish Kulkarni, Tejaswani Kolhapure, Surveen Chawla, Vinit Kumar Singh, Vipin Sharma in important roles. The movie also features Rahul Bhat, the ‘model turned TV’ actor in a vital role. Phantom Films along with DAR Motion Pictures are its producers. The movie’s digital poster was released for the first time this 8th May and was well received by the general audience.
Tejaswini Kolhapure as Shalini plays a middle class housewife, who is compelled to stay at the home by her husband Ronit Roy, who plays as Bose Shoumik, the police chief. Over a period of time, she thinks of contemplating suicide and tries to shoot herself, when Kali played by Anishika Shrivastava, her daughter interrupts her. Ronit is her second husband. This is a real thriller and the movie takes twists and turns with Kali being missing and Ronit accusing Rahul (Rahul Bhatt), ex husband of Tejaswini of kidnapping and torturing her.
This movie had its share of controversy before its planned release and hence got delayed. The director got entangled with Indian Censor Board which required the movie to have a sign stating ‘Smoking injurious to Health’ when a character was shown smoking. However, Kashyap had to give in to the demands of the Board and planned to release the movie with the specified sign.
The soundtrack for the film was composed by Brian McOmber and G. V. Prakash Kumar, with the former composing two hit songs, including the background score. Moreover, the lyrics were all written by the well known Gaurav Solanki. This movie is a real thriller that is sure to go well with the audience and sure to be enjoyed them.
