Rating – 3.5
The film’s story deals with a lady called Sulu who happens to be a happy go lucky Mumbai based lady who is a housewife. She is known as Sulu for being Sulochna. She works as RJ in night radio programs that has an impact over her usual life, amidst this she is seen wooing people with her voice just for fun and enjoyment. So, what happens next will be interesting to catch in the film.
One can find something really unsavoury about the lead actress in the film who calls being a RJ in the night shows to give people love advice. This gives the debutant director to offer something different to the audience in B Town who have been becoming content thirsty people these days. The audience in India have updated themselves level who now want something real and content driven. Tumhari Sulu in the sense happens to be such a class of movie, which addresses this urge of the audience while delivering something different and new. Now, talking about the performances, the National Award winner actress has something really different to offer to the B Town audience. Shas skillfully played the character giving something really interesting to catch. In fact, her performance in the film will certainly going to make her detractors debased and disappointed who is seen feeling alluring with her incredible accent. The other elements including music, screenplay, dialogues, songs, direction and photography all worked well in chorus lifting the entertainment value of the film to a great extent. The director has put forth a good film with worthy content that has made things really worthy to catch.
Tumhari Sulu – The Last Word
Luckily the tonal shifts in the film doesn’t really sound too jarring and remain very much accessible. Most of the urban people will try to relate this film with their own stories who have not much of worthy achievements to share but still they want to showcase their skills and saga before the world.
