For the makers of Total Dhamaal, it is a gala time for them as the film did a huge business during the first weekend. Thanks to the ensemble star cast and loads of comedy, the film had much to offer to the audience. The film had a huge screen share in the country with not less than 3700 covering all the parts of the nation promising laughter riot at the box office. The film did a good business right from the first day to the Sunday of the first weekend getting 16.50 Crores on Friday. The first Saturday earned 20.40 Crores, while Sunday appeared to be huge for the makers with the collection reaching to 25 Crores.
As per reports, the first-weekend box office collection for the Total Dhamaal ended its first weekend with superb box office collection reaching to around 61.9 Crores. The film has been the family entertainer and it has managed to pull a good amount of occupancy on the all the days with Sunday reaching the peak. The film had an extraordinary performance at the box office in the northern part of the country managing to get an overwhelming response at the box office thus getting an incredible weekend for the film. However, the makers failed to impress the critics as most of them called the film as Total Bakwas.
It is interesting to see the film with so many stars in it including Arshad Warsi, Ajay Devgn, Jaaved Jaaferi, and Riteish Deshmukh along with some new faces like Anil Kapoor, Madhuri and Dixit who came together after a long gap. The film also had Sanjay Mishra, Boman Irani and others that attracted the audience far and wide. Together all these elements had helped the film to prosper at the box office and the experts feel that the weekdays would also go smooth with decent collections making the film to enter into the 100 crore club soon. Let’s see how things move for Total Dhamaal, but at the moment, the picture seems to be rosy for the adventure comedy.
