Top 10 Bollywood Movies Banned in Pakistan

However, this seems true in the case of Bollywood today when filmmakers from Bollywood make movies, which are being rejected across the border. Yes we are talking about our neighboring country Pakistan, which accepts many movies from B Town but end up banning a couple. They have their own political and other reasons to ban the Bollywood movies in their land. Let’s check the top 10 films from Bollywood, which are banned in Pakistan as under:

1). Ek Tha Tiger

The Salman & Katrina starrer film had the two love birds hailing from the top security agencies of both Pak and India. This film was banned for portraying Kat as a Pak agent falling in love with an Indian spy agent. It was banned as such films in Pak are considered to be the ones against the national interest.

2). Jab Tak Hai Jaan

This film was initially banned in Pak for having certain scenes of Kashmir and Paki men being involved in planting bombs in the valley. However, the makers of the film were able to convince the Pak authorities, which finally gave the producers a warm welcome from the country getting a red carpet premiere in Karachi.

3). Agent Vinod

The film was banned for obvious reasons as Saif Ali Khan was playing the agent role from Indian intelligence who take the ISI of Pak to task. The major reason of the ban was the scene of Pak government supporting Taliban in Afgahnistan.

4). Chennai Express

This was not banned for a long time in Pak for any religious or political reasons in it, however, it was Eid time there in the country and they had a couple of releases coming the festive season. The film was finally released later.

5). Dirty Picture

The film was banned for having many bold scenes as showcased by VidyaBalan while playing the character of Silk Smitha the Indian sex siren of eighties. The Censor Board from Pak simply declined the same.

6). Khiladi 786

The number 786 is considered to be sacred by the Muslim community which the country claimed can hurt the people here, hence it was banned.

7). Bhaagh Milkha Bhaagh

The film was banned in Pak for certain scene bashing the Pakistanis as Milkha refused to visit the country as his parents were killed during the partition time. However, later the movie was cleared by the Pak Censor Board.

8). Tere Bin Laden

The film had a comical representation of Osama Bin Laden, which is not the favorites of Pak Censor Board. This leaded them to ban the film.

9). David

The film from BejoyNambiar failed to pass the Pak Censor Board as they felt that the film is not a suitable content for the Lahore citizens or people from other parts of the country.

10). Lahore

The film had certainly dialogues and scenes in it that appeared objectionable before the board, hence failed to be screened in Pakistan. Virtually, it was not the case as the film has certain sports kick boxing base, yet it was banned across the border.
