The upcoming movie Toilet: Ek Prem Katha starring Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar is all set to release on 11th August. The film seems to have a decent buzz in the media. But considering the way the collection of different films this year be it the festive time or during occasions like Republic Day or any other day, the collections for different films have been in a shabby mode. The film Tubelight starring Salman Khan is a classic example. Hence, experts are not going liberal in predicting a decent figure for any film, hence Toilet:Ek Prem Katha is certainly not an exception.
However, with this film, the makers seems to have an edge for the reason that most of the states ruled by BJP seems to have announced the movie with no tax. Thus the experts claim that if all the states announce the movie tax free, it is likely to collect around 120 crores, otherwise it will remain in the range of 95 to 100 crore only. Hence in this way, if you talk about the first day collection, the film is likely to bag around 6-7 crores on the first day, while the first weekend collection will net around 25 crores.
The film is expected to around 2500 screens, which is still a decent figure for the movie. Now, talking about the collection the multiplexes will have 50 percent occupancy but at some places the collection is going to rise. The film has short time to perform as a number of other movies too are releasing the following Friday, which include Bareilly Ki Baarfi and Haseen Parkar and don’t you forget the Hollywood film Annable:Creation. The horror flick is all set to be a big threat for the film. ALso, the SRK movie Jab Harry Met Sejal will pose some amount of threat for the same.
