The actor Akshay Kumar starrer movie called Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is witnessing a huge growth in its first weekend. After getting a decent collection of around 13.10 crore on the first day, the film continued to rise up on the first weekend collecting some really decent amounts on the first Saturday and Sunday. The film managed to get 17.10 crore on Saturday, while on Sunday the collection for the movie went to a whopping collection of 30.20 crore giving a smashing collection on its first weekend box office report.In fact, it was Taran Adarsh the trade pundit who has tweeted giving a guess of 48 crore on its first weekend collection and he was right to a great extent.
So, the first weekend box office collection for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha tolled to around 60.40 crores. It is whopping for an ordinary film which was based on an ordinary story. But it seems that the star power of Akki has gone up to do great for the film. Thus we can call this film has given loads of oxygen to the lungs of B Town which has been ailing due to getting a less collection. The film has simply ended the dry spell over the box office. The movie is based on the Indian Government’s campaign called Swachh Bharat Abhiyan which was initiated by the Prime Minister Mr. Modi.
