Todd Phillips wraps up the shoot of Joker 2; shares new look of Lady Gaga
Todd Phillips has wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming film Joker: Folie à Deux. The filmmaker made the announcement by sharing the new look of Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix. The filmmaker took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that production has been wrapped up and shared new images of Gaga and Phoenix as Harley Quinn and Joker respectively.
Todd Phillips captioned the post, “That’s a wrap. Thanks to these two (+ the entire cast) and the BEST crew that the film industry has to offer. From top to bottom. Gonna crawl into a cave now (edit room) and put it all together.”

On Valentine’s Day, the first images of Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn were released, in which she was seen posing with Joaquin Phoenix with his face in her palms. “Happy Valentine’s Day,” the filmmaker captioned the image. The first look quickly drew the attention of moviegoers, and many praised the filmmaker and actress for her distinct appearance.

Joker: Folie à Deux is a sequel to Tod Philips’ previous directorial venture, Joker (2019), which starred Phoenix in the lead. The film was a huge box office success, becoming the first R-rated film in history to pass the $1 billion mark at the global box office. The picture received numerous awards at various film festivals, including Phoenix’s Academy Award for Best Actor. Phoenix’s Oscar made him the second performer to win an Academy Award for playing the Joker after Heath Ledger.
Todd Phillips’ Joker: Folie à Deux is part of DC Elseworlds, which includes The Batman-Part 2. Both films are not part of regular DCU which is currently under works of DC Studios bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran.
