Is Bollywood Becoming Anti Hindu? #AntiHinduAgendaOfBollywood trends at Twitter today
Ever since a tweet came about Mission Mangal calling Akshay Kumar as anti- Hindu as the makers showed scientist’s son is converting to Islam with a trend like #BoycottMissionMangal it was expected to see another similar trend coming on the microblogging site like #AntiHinduAgendaOfBollywood. Today as you check Twitter, the hashtag – #AntiHinduAgendaOfBollywood seems to be trending at the top on the microblogging site.
However, no one from the celebrity reacted to this but most of the people active on the social media claimed that Bollywood is turning Anti Hindu. Most of the tweets alleged that Bollywood has been targetting Hindu culture and religion. Some went on to say that since Hindus are more tolerant, they are treated as cowards that allow Bollywood to target their religion. Check the tweets of the said content here:
Hindus r very tolerant, or say COWARDS.
We never raise voice against those who make fun or defame our culture.Muslims & Christians won’t ever tolerate such a thing!

Then there were people who alleged that this has been happening since the film Main Hoona Na came where a Hindu soldier was seen as a terrorist killing innocent Pakistanis in it. Some one even pointed out the Priyanka Chopra starrer TV show called Quantico which had similar agenda.
Hindu Terrorism Storyline were Shown in Priyanka Chopra’s “QUANTICO’. and shown Pakistan as a victim. Shame on u priyanka.#AntiHinduAgendaOfBollywood pic.twitter.com/trFBuRiQ3g

However, there were others although in minority but who seemed defending the Hindi Cinema saying that Bollywood is simply a medium of art and people getting negative messages perceive things the way they want as B Town has nothing to do with defaming any religion.

Movies are not to be blamed, they are just a piece of art and accordingly everyone has the write to wear what he feels comfortable in, believe in god or being atheist, etc.
Mainly it’s the people’s perceptions that take only negative aspects of movies.— Devadutt Nair (@DevaduttNair) August 16, 2019
It would be interesting to see how the Bollywood celebrities react to such trends that appear on Twitter. However, as we know more often they tend to remain away from such issues as they can easily turn to another controversy. This was the very reason why we saw no reaction coming from them on earlier trend #BoycottMissionMangal when people called Akshay Kumar anti Hindu despite the fact that he has once more often claimed to be a patriot and very much Indian.
