Tiger 3 Opening Day at the Box Office: Salman Khan Poised to Sell a Million Tickets

Salman Khan fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Tiger 3, and with each ticket booked, the anticipation is growing. This is the perfect time for them to show their support for their favorite star and celebrate his grand comeback at the box office. The film is expected to cross the 500 crore mark, following in the footsteps of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan. However, it remains to be seen whether this will be possible.

Before we delve into the potential numbers for Tiger 3, it is important to keep in mind the day of its release. Diwali’s first day has always been considered the weakest day for any film, as many people skip theaters to attend Lakshmi Pujan. However, Yash Raj Films recently explained their decision to release the film on this day, and their reasoning is sound.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan had the advantage of being released on less challenging days than Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3. The majority of the audience was not restricted from watching their films on the first day, unlike Tiger 3, which is facing the same challenges as Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan did 11 years ago.

Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 has already sold over 535,000 tickets at national chains and single screens nationwide, with a day and a half of ticket bookings still remaining. This puts the film on track to cross the 500K mark.

Jawan sold over 800,000 tickets in the day and a half leading up to its release, while Pathaan sold over 650,000 tickets in the same time frame. Both films had sold over a million tickets by the time of their release, with Jawan reportedly selling closer to 1.5 million tickets. This contributed to their historic opening day box office figures.

Tiger 3 is on track to sell over 535,000 tickets in the day and a half leading up to its release. A million tickets would be a miraculous number considering the day it’s releasing, but it could be less than Jawan and equal to Pathaan. If it crosses the million tickets mark, it would hint at the monstrous day 2 figures that Bollywood is not ready for.
