After a busy Friday last week with three movies releasing earlier, we have yet another busy day with a similar number of movies again hitting the screen today. One of these certainly includes The Zoya Factor. The film has Sonam Kapoor and Duquler Salman in the lead role. The film enjoys a decent buzz in the media, all thanks to the interesting plot and powerful performances by the lead actors, the film seemed to have attracted the audience well on day one.
The film started with an occupancy of 30 to 40 percent in the morning and the afternoon shows, and gradually it escalated in the evening and night shows reaching up to 80 percent particularly in the multiplexes. As always, Sonam has attracted the multiplex crowd more than the single screens particularly of the small town cities and similar places in North India. The film also had decent ratings, which helped the film to escalate at the box office collection on the first day.
As per reports, the 1st-day box office collection for The Zoya Factor is around 10.45 Crores, which is decent for the makers to celebrate on the first day. The film is expected to do well in the coming days particularly the 1st weekend and would be touching around 40 to 45 crores for sure. However, it is likely to dip down during the weekdays for obvious reasons as it faces too much of competition from other two films particularly the Sanjay Dutt starrer film – Prasthanam released on the same day.
