The Producers of Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan ‘confirms’ that no conversation for pay per view release of the film took place, full statement inside!

Since the announcement of the film, Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan has been making headlines. The story of the film is inspired by an incredible true story of Syed Abdul Rahim, ‘Maidaan’ will showcase the journey of one of the finest coaches that emerged from India, the one who put India on the global map.

Recently, the news about the film being in conversation with a streaming platform for pay per view release was doing rounds on the internet. However, the producers released a statement and rubbished this news.

The statement on behalf of Maidaan producers – Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta says, “We would like to share that there is currently no conversation with any streaming platform for pay per view release of the film ‘Maidaan’. Our focus, at present, is to complete the film keeping everyone’s safety in mind and in full compliance of Protocols laid down by the Government.”

“We request you to please reach out to us regarding any news about Maidaan,” the statement furthur read.

Maidaan is a direction by Amit Ravindernath Sharma of Badhai Ho fame. Apart from Ajay Devgn, the film will also star the National award-winning actress Priyamani, Badhai Ho fame, Gajraj Rao, and the well-known Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh.

The film is written by Saiwyn Quadras and Ritesh Shah and it produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta respectively. Earlier the makers announced that the film is all set to release on 15th October 2021 in theaters.
