There have been numerous films and shows on Bram Stoker’s classic 1897 novel ‘Dracula’. Universal Pictures is now coming up with another frightening tale about the origin of Dracula which is also based on a single chapter, the Captain’s Log, from Bram Stoker’s classic novel.

The chapter tells the story of the Russian schooner, Demeter, which was chartered to carry private cargo – fifty unmarked wooden crates – from Carpathia to London.

The makers dropped the first trailer of the film and it immediately catches you off guard. The trailer opens with a merchant ship known as the Demeter being chartered from Romania to London with a cargo of crates whose content is unknown. The shipmates on the cargo ship include a doctor Clemens (Corey Hawkins), an unwitting stowaway (Aisling Franciosi), ship’s captain ( Liam Cunningham) and several other travelers.

Suddenly they feel a presence of a terrifying being who has killed all the livestocks on the cargo. As the trailer continues, they soon start feeling the presence of powerful evil on their cargo and that  evil creature is ‘Dracula’. He drinks blood of live beings in the night. With being trapped in the middle of the sea they have nowhere to hide and run. The film will show how will they face this evil creature.
