The Kapil Sharma Show review: Ranveer Singh Saved the Comeback show

The-Kapil-Sharma-Show review

Its been a year to see Kapil Sharma away from his TV show. A lot many things happened in the midway, right from the on-air spat at the Melbourne Mumbai Flight to the bad health of the comedian, the ugly fight of Kapil Sharma with a Tabloid editor, bad reviews of his show and his marriage, he has many things to suffer. But after a long gap, he was able to return to his show – The Kapil Sharma Show aired at the same channel – Sony Entertainment Television. So, bad days and weeks, Kapil Sharma returned on the small screen with his initial episodes with the Simmba Team.

As we know, India is a land that gives stars second, third and many more chances when the career of any star is at stake, and Kapil Sharma is no exception. We see some new additions in the current show with Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek adding up the list, while the old ones remain the Kapil Sharma’s friend Chandu Prabhakar and Sumona Chakraborthy. As the show started, we saw Navjot Siddhu taking his older seat in a new style all set to give too many of his fake laughter and punches as and when required in the show. But for him, the insufferable bits did not last that long.

We saw both Kapil treading the same old path, cracking the old jokes, Kiku busy with his vulgar and double meaning jokes, and Chandu the poverty king remained the same old ugly fellow. Sumona too had the older things to try being the sister of Bharti Singh in the show. However, the twist came when Ranveer Singh got his entry into the show. He and his team has come to promote Simmba coming in two phases, with first day Rohit Shetty and Ranveer while the other day Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood joined along with the previous two guests.

Ranveer Singh, his energy was able to entertain the audience much better than Kapil who seemed to be a victim standing at the corner in a bad mood for losing the opportunity to flirt Deepika anymore for getting married to Ranveer. The next day when Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood joined, Ranveer had enough company to corner Kapil and others to entertain in a much better way than Kapil has done in his comeback show. We get the similar sense what we found Kapil’s comeback in his earlier season with Shah Rukh Khan coming his first guest for the promotion on his film Fan. In a nutshell, Kapil has not much to deliver but the same old and stale jokes which are now being joined by Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek.
