The Intern: Big B replaces Late Rishi Kapoor’s Role in the Deepika Padukone Starrer Film
It was in January 2020 when Azure Entertainment along with Warner Bros announced their joint film called The Intern. The film had Rishi Kapoor in the leading role with Deepika Padukone in one of the vital roles in the movie. The film is a Hindi remake of a Hollywood film The Intern. The fact of the matter is both Deepika and Rishi Kapoor were gearing up for their roles when lockdown was announced and the film went on the backburner.
And then there was news that we lost Rishi Kapoor for his long time ailment last April. It was bad news and everyone mourned on it keeping the film under the carpet. Now as we see things settling down and the B Town resuming work, the film The Intern again made news in the media. The next big question before the audience, who would replace Rishi Kapoor’s role as he is no more in this world. Then came the name of Amitabh Bachchan.
The moment the film was offered to Big B, he was quick to accept it due to the fact that it was the role of his old friend who is no more. He shared a very good rapport with the late actor and thus doing his role would be a small tribute to Rishi Kapoor. As per reports, Big B along with the other cast of the film like Deepika Padukone would be starting the film soon. There are talks about the other star cast as the makers are yet to lock it. Once the dates are given by the actors in the remaining star cast, the film will hit the floor.
