This Friday is a light one with just two movies releasing the same day. Both the film appeared to be of a low rating for having simple story apart from being a mid-budget film. The makers have released the film with no delay, and it has just one week to earn as we have some big releases coming next Friday. Comparing the film Vodka Diaries with the other release known as Nirdosh, the movie seems to be better in terms of story and box office performance. Despite getting a handful of screens all across the country as there are several other films still running along with Tiger Zinda Hai having a sizable amount of screens as yet, the film has less score to earn at the box office.
The film Vodka Diaries which is a thriller movie deals with the murder mystery of five murders. The story though seemed simple, but the performance and direction still make it a worthy film to catch this weekend. Hence despite an average performance over the box office, the film has a scope to earn big at the box office. As per reports, the film started with a low occupancy but with gradual passage of time and the shows, the evening seemed better than the other release. The occupancy from 12 to 15 percent went on to increase with around 30 percent in the multiplexes and the single screens.
So, as per reports, the first day box office collection for Vodka Diaries netted to around 1.20 crore, which is likely to increase in the first weekend. The film has the chance to garner a decent kind of word of mouth buzz that will bring the audience close to the film. Hence at the end of the first weekend, the film is expected to touch 10 crore. However, the only hurdle that can come in its way is Tiger Zinda Hai, which is gaining still a good collection at the box office. And with Padmavat releasing the next Thursday, the time VD has too little. Let’s wait and watch now!
