The trailer showcases two rival channels and two professionals relentlessly digging into each other’s personal and professional flaws. Shreya Pilgaonkar shines as Radha Bhargava, while Jaideep Ahlawat portrays Dipankar Sanyal, both determined to triumph. Sonali Bendre, as Ameena, navigates the delicate balance between idealism and sensationalism, reminding us of the essence of their respective professions.

The trailer opens with Jaideep’s character bluntly expressing his disinterest in the truth, solely driven by the need to boost TRPs. Conversely, it concludes with Radha willingly engaging in mud-slinging if it means cleansing the system and the process as a whole.

The trailer may border on over-dramatization, with its cutthroat race for ratings and Ameena’s occasionally preachy dialogues. However, despite the overly vibrant music reminiscent of a bygone era, one might still give the second season of “The Broken News” the benefit of the doubt.

The tantalizing trailer is undoubtedly persuasive, leaving viewers eager to watch the web series when it premieres on Zee 5. Produced by BBC Studios India and directed by Vinay Waikul, this ZEE5 original series promises to captivate audiences from May 3 onwards.

The upcoming season welcomes familiar faces, including Faisal Rashid, Indraneil Sengupta, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, and Taaruk Raina, among others. Additionally, the new season introduces actors Akshay Oberoi, Suchitra Pillai, and Geetika Vidya Ohlyan in pivotal roles, adding fresh talent to the enthralling narrative.
