Taapsee Pannu is among few divas in Tinsel Town who leaves no stone unturned to get into the skin of the character she plays. And Thappad is certainly not an exception. The makers released the film’s trailer which talks about domestic violence. As the actress rightly pointed out that three out of five women in India remain the victim of the issue called domestic violence. Thus with this message at the center, Thappad is the right chord touched by the makers in B Town.
Directed by Anubhav, the film is the right entry to the world that has remained in our society but was not addressed too often by our B Town films. Thappad thus fills the gap with a great impact that can be felt while going through the trailer released recently in the media. The film has some nice dialogues and a few are seen in the trailer as well, which are certainly not cryptic for sure. They are meant to pierce you at the right place. The star cast of the film remains subtle with actors like Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza, Tanvee Azmi, and Sushil Dahiya to name a few.
Thus it is needless to say that one can expect some of the performances in the film and the trailer somewhere gives a glimpse of the same. Like the previous film of Anubhav called Article 15, Thappad too is expected to have a similar sort of impact on the audience although it has a fixed premise called family, yet one can feel its influence. One of the best things about the trailer is that it has been doing justice to the character assigned to the lead actors in the film. This is really commendable job of the filmmaker somewhere assuring that we have a decent film to catch. It is all set to hit on 28th Feb 2020 and the ratings for the trailer are 3.5 out of five.
