Thakur Anoop Singh is an actor, athlete and pilot. He was born on 23rd March 1989 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He did his schooling and college from Mumbai itself. He is is a model turned actor. He made his acting debut with TV’s premium fiction show Mahabharat. He played the role of blind king Dhritarashtra in the series. Anoop has done many modelling assignments and has been a part couple of shows like Jai Bajrang Bali, Dwarkadheesh-Bhagwaan Shri Krishna and played ‘Hanuman’ in Ramayan. The actor was last seen in Big Magic’s Akbar Birbal. He has won gold at the World Body-building Championship in Thailand.
He has also bagged the title of ‘Mr. World’ after fending off opposition from two Thai builders in the finals. This made Anoop only the second builder from India, after Manohar Aich to lift the coveted title. Thakur Anoop who is a pilot by profession, had a dream to pursue career in acting since childhood. Siddharth Tewary gave him an opportunity to essay the role of Dhritarashtra on behalf of Swastik Productions. He also carries another passion of pets and has named his 4 years old Great Dane dog – ‘Oscar’.
Thakur Anoop Singh will soon be seen in upcoming Telugu movie ‘Rogue‘. He will play the role as a Psycho. The movie is being directed by Puri Jagannath and features actor Ishan and Mannara Chopra in lead roles. Thakur will also be seen in upcoming Marathi filme ‘Bebhan’. Thakur Anoop Singh played the role as Vicky Chadda in the film Commando 2. It featured Vidyut Jamwal and Adah Sharma in lead roles. It is directed by Deven Bhojani and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The movie was released on 3 March 2017.
