Thackeray Teaser Review – Catch Nawazuddin Siddiqui in an Intense Look

Thackeray teaser review
The film Thackeray has been in discussion ever since it was announced last year. The makers had a few choices to play the lead role, but they finally found Nawazuddin Siddiqui apt for this role to play the late leader in the biopic directed by Abhijit Panse. The film is written by Sanjay Raut who is a Shiv Sena leader as well. The first teaser was released last year in December, and the makers intend to release on 23rd January 2019 on the eve of Republic Day. Interestingly, it is also the 93rd birth anniversary of Bal Thackeray on the release day so it would be a double delight for the fans and the supporters or followers of the late leader and his party.

The makers have released the teaser, and it gives the glimpse of the Bombay city, which was marred with riots in the city and the late leader role in it. We have been knowing the city of Mumbai to be very much volatile, and it has been affected a lot with one controversy or the other. The teaser covers the riots to some extent and then comes the late leader. The first few seconds of the teaser are in black and white to add the effects of the scene before the audience while the second part showcases the actor in the late leader’s avatar.

As you dig in deep, you realise how intense role the actor has played while doing this biopic. He has worked hard to learn and master the body language and mannerism of the later leader of Shiv Sena and has nicely copied them over the silver screen. The makers were able to recreate the kind of situation one has witnessed in the city during the dark time of the early nineties witnessed in Bombay along with showcasing the life of the leader before the audience who are unknown to the great figure of Mumbai. Whether the film will be a hit or not but one thing is clear Nawazuddin Siddiqui has done an incredible role in it.
