Suriya and Disha Patani’s next film is titled ‘Kanguva’; Actor drops an enthralling teaser for title announcement

Suriya and Disha Patani’s highly anticipated Tamil action epic, initially named ‘Suriya 42,’ has now received an official title. The film has been titled ‘Kanguva’ by filmmaker Siva. An exciting teaser video has been released to unveil the title.

Sharing the title with an animated teaser video of a new poster,  Suriya wrote, “Sheer joy working with Siva and Team on this mighty saga. Happy to share the title look of #Kanguva.”

The animated teaser trailer begins with a masked hero riding a horse onto a battlefield, followed by a vast army. He carries all of his weapons, including a sword, bow and arrows, and an axe. On the battlefield, there is also an eagle and a dog. The teaser also indicates that the film would be released in theatres in early 2024. Devi Sri Prasad’s (DSP) enthralling background score adds to the suspense and thrill.

Kanguva is one of the most expensive projects in Tamil cinema history, and fans have been waiting for any new information about the film since its initial announcement in 2021.The film will be released in ten languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam, in 3D.

Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, and Kovai Sarala will also play important roles in the film. K.E. Gnanavelraja is collaborating with UV Creations to produce the film under the Studio Green label.

Suriya was most recently seen in Pandiraj’s action-thriller ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ (2022), which received mixed reviews and did average collection at the box office. He also made a brief appearance as Rolex in Lokesh Kanagraj’s ‘Vikram’ (2022). According to some media reports, the actor will be seen reprising his role of ‘Rolex’ in the upcoming films of ‘Lokesh Cinematic Universe’.
