Oppenheimer New Trailer: Cillian Murphy leads a mission to construct an atomic bomb that may destroy the entire planet

Christopher Nolan’s next film, ‘Oppenheimer’, is an explosive biopic of the man who invented the atomic bomb. The film focuses on J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy), the most important contributor to the development of the atomic bomb.

Makers have released a new trailer that provides viewers a closer look at the man on a mission to construct an atomic bomb that may destroy the entire planet, as well as all of the other crucial characters that had a role in this invention.

The 3-minute 7-second long trailer begins with the USA in a race with Nazi Germany to come up with a unique one-of-a-kind weapon to end World War II. Oppenheimer establishes a hidden village and recruits scientists in order to develop the most lethal weapon in human history. In the trailer we see Oppenheimer demanding that the research be completed in a secluded town away from prying eyes, and that all of the scientists’ families be present on site so that they are not lonely and miss home. Meanwhile, he must deal with other challenges, including politics. Cillian Murphy and Matt Damon both appear to be promising in the respective roles.

Albert Einstein also appears briefly in the trailer. The trailer also makes it clear that, like Nolan’s previous films, this time he has primarily relied on real practical effects rather than VFX.

‘Oppenheimer’ is based on Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer.
