Taylor Swift, the popular global pop star has once again made her mark in the entertainment industry. After her last single delivery of the trending pop song, she has once again bagged a lot of praise from the music world. Hitting the top chart buster list, her song turned out to be a big hit trailing towards making her album launch a huge success.
Well another news is bringing in Swift into the news is that the singer will returning to “The Voice” as a mega mentor for the upcoming 17th season of the NBC singing competition series.
The “Blank Space” singer will be offering advice to each team of artists as they will be preparing for the knockout rounds to be held in the show.
Coaches John Legend and Blake Shelton had taken on to their Instagram handles for sharing a promotional video along with the news. In it, the singers are acting as if they have no clue that the pop-star mentor will be.
“I heard we have a mega mentor? I heard it’s supposed to be one of the most successful people in music,” Legend says just before Swift nonchalantly walks out of the trailer behind them as her latest chart-topping single “Me!” featuring Brenden Urie begins playing.
Swift’s main purpose as a mentor will be to prepare the artists and advice them during the knockout rounds, in which each artist will be teaming up with another contestant for choosing a song and perform it individually. It will be serving as the last opportunity for the singers to prove their worth to the judges before they will be deciding about who will be getting to stay for the final round, the live playoffs.
The Grammy-winning artist is no stranger to the stage of “The Voice” as she had even previously served as the mega mentor during Season 7, in addition to performing “Me” during the Season 16 finale.
“The Voice” premieres Sept. 23 on NBC.
