Tapsee Pannu signs a multilingual science-fiction flick with director Barath Neelkantan

Taapsee Pannu is currently waiting for the release of her upcoming film Haseena Dilruba, which will be streaming on Netflix from July 2. In the meantime, the actor has reportedly signed up for a multilingual science-fiction flick.

As per the sources, the movie will be high on both budget and VFX. The movie will involve aliens and will be released in different languages.

Taapsee will be essaying the lead role in a pan-Indian sci-fi film, directed by the thriller movie K-13’s director, Barath Neelkantan. Talking about the movie, a source revealed that, “the movie will be a science-fiction film that deals with aliens; in fact, its title will be Alien. But the story will be a fresh take on the genre. It will not have any influence on the many Hollywood alien films we have seen so far. The director has come up with a premise that explores how aliens might be in a country like India.”

The director of the film has already started prepping for the film and he has also revealed multiple times that in his directing career, he wants to explore every genre. Thus, leading him to try this new sci-fi genre.

On the professional front, Taapsee Pannu will be next seen, ‘Rashmi Rocket.’ and ‘Looop Lapeta’ which is the remake of a German hit and ‘Shabaash Mithu’ a biopic based on the legendary female cricketer of India Mithali Raj.
