The Amazon Prime show – Tandav has been raking the world since it started streaming on the popular OTT platform. However, soon the show was brought under the controversy of disrespecting the Hindu deities and belief. Soon the OTT platform issued an apology for the same, but it went ahead to wreak havoc as more and more people started objecting and filing FIR against the show. Just recently when we saw the Allahabad HC rejecting the plea of punishing the makers and the Amazon Prime, we now hear that the streaming giant has issued an unconditional apology about its show.
The makers have removed the objectionable scenes from the show which were targeted by the people along with doing other things that led to controversy. As per the recent buzz, Amazon claimed that they deeply regret the issues pointed out against the show and that they value the beliefs and gods of the said community. The statement further said that the makers had no intention to make any fun with the said scenes and with the objection raised the scenes were deleted or edited.
The statement further said that Amazon respects the diverse beliefs of its audience and issued an apology to those who felt hurt by these scenes. The show was directed by the filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar, the Sultan fame actor who also issued his apology twice. The show has gained a good buzz with these controversies.
