The B Town had two films to release this Friday and one of these was certainly the Ajay Devgn starrer film Tanaji: The Unsung Warrior releasing along with Deepika Padukone film Chhapaak. The film managed to create a good stir among the B Town audience and it helped to collect good money on the first weekend despite facing the competition from the other film. It started on a good note getting 15.10 Cr followed by 20.57 Cr and Sunday was the highest getting around 25.50 crore.
So, with these figures, the 1st-weekend box office collection for Tanaji: The Unsung Warrior has scored around 61.07 Crores, which is a decent figure to celebrate for the makers. Interestingly, this has been the 100th film of Ajay Devgn and it would continue to score well at the box office during the weekdays as well. It seems that the collection would go less when compared to the holidays but it would rise up for sure retain in a decent way during the weekdays.
The film that talks about the war between the Marathas and Mughal Army has an interesting history and it did appeal to the people calling many far and wide giving a decent occupancy at both the single and multiplex screens. With these figures, the collection for Tanaji is expected to enter into the 100 Crore for sure after the end of the first week. Well, let’s see how things would move, but at the moment, things are rosy for a period drama starring Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan.
