Don 3: Farhan Akhtar Allocates Budget 212% Higher Than Don + Don 2 Combined – Ranveer Singh & Kiara Advani’s Movie Set to Rival YRF’s Spy Universe?

Excitement is reaching a fever pitch as Ranveer Singh gears up to carry forward the legacy of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in “Don 3,” under the direction of Farhan Akhtar. The film, which will feature Kiara Advani as the leading lady, is set to commence production soon. The colossal budget for the third installment has been revealed, marking a significant contrast with its predecessors.

Amidst swirling rumors surrounding “Don 3,” initial reports hinted at Kriti Sanon being considered for the leading role before Kiara’s confirmation. Speculation intensified after Kriti was spotted at the Excel Entertainment office. Additionally, there were murmurs about Emraan Hashmi being eyed for the antagonist role, a claim he promptly refuted on his Instagram stories.

While the supporting cast details remain shrouded in secrecy, a recent report by Bollywood Hungama unveiled the staggering budget for “Don 3.” A source close to the production disclosed, “Don 1 and Don 2 with Shah Rukh Khan were made on decent budgets, but with Don 3, Farhan Akhtar aims to make a global film. The vision with Don 3 is not just to compete with action films of India, but also to go global on the scale front. Don 3 is Farhan’s attempt to make a global action thriller and no one better than Ranveer Singh to spearhead the franchise in the new era.”

It appears that Farhan Akhtar is setting his sights on rivaling YRF’s spy universe, as “Don 3” is reportedly being crafted on a staggering budget of Rs 275 crore. The film is poised to be an action spectacle, with Farhan Akhtar leaving no stone unturned to ensure its success. However, with the film being made on a budget 212% higher than that of Don and Don 2 combined, the industry eagerly awaits to see if this bold move will pay off.

Looking back, the original “Don,” starring Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra, was reportedly made on a budget of 38 crores and went on to earn 50 crores at the Indian box office, marking a substantial increase in earnings compared to the production cost. Similarly, the sequel, “Don 2,” with a budget of 76 crores, garnered around 106 crores at the domestic box office, reflecting a significant uptick in earnings compared to its budget.

As the anticipation for “Don 3” continues to mount, the film’s ambitious scale, stellar cast, and Farhan Akhtar’s directorial vision are poised to redefine the action thriller genre, setting the stage for a cinematic spectacle of global proportions.
