Story
The film deals with a story of a couple played by Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar who has remained lovers since their school days. However, they are not lucky to have kids as they lose their first child Tanya when she was one. The second chid is normal, while the third child Aisha played by Zaira Wasim faces difficulty due to some genetic disorders found in her parents. The young girl has to face various health issues in her life till she turns up a motivational speaker. So, what happens next in this emotional family drama is interesting to catch nearby cinema hall.

The film like this is complex to write, but the writer and director Shonali has drafted with the right beauty keeping the emotions intact. One of the interesting about this script is it gives a sad story though but presented in a light-hearted way. The makers have tried to catch the authenticity of the city of Delhi along with the elegance of London with their camera. However, the only downside of the film is that at one point of time it becomes directionless. The first half has lots of emotions that can be challenging for everyone to bear, however, the second half is brilliant, light-hearted and worth checking out.
Now, talking about the star performances, Farhan Akhtar has given the best performance playing Zaira’s father. He has managed to get into the skin of the character so well that it is amazing to see his transformation from a filmmaker to a fine actor. On the other side, Pee Cee has remained justified at all levels while playing the character with loads of emotions. Zaira Wasim playing their daughter in incredibly natural! This was the best performance for the Dangal girl so far, but alas with her sudden exit from B Town, we will miss the talented actress on the silver screen. Rohit Saraf on the other side had a smaller role but he played decently and subtly.
Talking about the other elements like direction and music, these elements were incredible and helped the film to lift its entertainment value. The other aspects of the film like screenplay, dialogues, locations and photography, these remained good in many ways. Although the film has a limited songs and these are well placed with quirky lyrics and melody.

With all said and done, the film The Sky Is Pink is colourful and vivid and has a decent take over the Importance of life. This can be called as a perfect example to the “Broken crayons that can still colour.” Thanks to the outstanding performances, good directions, TSIP remains a throat-lumping watch.
