Bollywood actor Aamir Khan confirmed in an interview with News 18 that his daughter, Ira Khan, will marry Nupur Shikhare on January 3, 2024. He said, ‘Ira is getting married on January 3. He is the boy she has chosen. His nickname is Popeye. He is a trainer, and he has arms like Popeye, but his name is Nupur. He is a lovely boy. He was there for Ira when she was struggling with depression.Â
He is someone who has truly stood by her and provided her with emotional support. I am pleased that she has chosen a boy who… They are so happy together. They have a strong bond, and they genuinely care about and look after each other.'” Though it may sound like a movie line, I feel like Nupur is my own son. He is such a wonderful boy, and we really feel like he is part of our family. His mother, Pritam ji, is already like a sister to me.
When asked about his feelings on his daughter’s upcoming wedding, Aamir Khan said, “I’m a very emotional person, so I’m sure I’ll cry a lot that day. My family has already started discussing how to ‘take care of Aamir that day’ because I’m so emotional. I can’t control my smile or my tears.”
Aamir Khan also talked about taking a break from work, which has significantly improved his relationships with them. He is enjoying spending time with his children and is able to see the people in his personal space more clearly. He realized that he should cherish his relationships on a daily basis, not just in emergency situations.
