Padmavat or Padman – Who’s will win at the Box Office Race
Come Republic Day 2018 and we have two movies hitting the same Friday soaring up the competition in a big way. Earlier it was Aiyaary earlier who was pushed to its release in February. Now, we have Padmavat now releasing the same day, so, it’s now the Padmavat Vs. Padman so it would be an interesting Republic Day this time. So, as per speculations, it will be a great time for the makers. Last time it was Raees Vs. Kaabil but this time we have Padman Vs. Padmavati. Well, time to check the way the films would perform in the coming days on the eve of Republic Day.
Let’s talk about the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movie which is now called Padmavat. The film has a huge buzz in the media for the obvious reasons. This has created a huge amount of inquisitiveness in the media and thanks to the ways the people have been agitating. It is obvious to see that the film will attract the audience better than the other film releasing this Republic Day. The film is likely to collect a huge amount in its first weekend which will continue to do business over the box office. Thanks to the huge buzz and the kind of stellar performances one has seen over the box office.
It is no surprise to see the movie collecting 100 crore within 3-4 days. Now, time to check how the other film would work. It is the first release of Akshay Kumar of 2018 called Padman. The film is inspired by a real story of man behind giving the Indian women the sanitary napkin for clean and hygiene along with giving people the best of the performances. However, the subject isn’t that impressive to attract the heed of the audience in a big way. Only the Akshay Kumar fans might catch showing their love and honor for the actor, while it has not much of subtle content to attract the audience.
In a way it will be a niche film, which will attract select audience. Since Padmavati is releasing on the same day, it will surely going to have its hard impact over the other release called Padman. On the other side, Akshay Kumar is least bothered about the competition and on the other side have expressed his happiness about the release. One can expect the film to perform on similar lines unlike any other movie of Akshay Kumar, which is around 80 to 90 crores on the first month. Well, the real story would only come when the film finally hits the theatre, rest at the moment is nothing but speculations. So, virtually it is Padmavat and not Padman that will be a winner at the box office.
