Adipurush Box Office Report: Prabhas’ Film Witnesses Decline, Earns Rs 1.75 Crore on Second Monday
Adipurush, the Prabhas and Kriti Sanon-starrer, has seen its box office collection decline sharply in the second week of its release. The film collected a meagre Rs 1.75 crore on its second Monday, as per initial estimates. This is a steep drop from its first Monday collection of Rs 16 crore. Adipurush’s total domestic collections have now reached Rs 277.50 crore. The film’s overseas collections are estimated to be around Rs 172.50 crore, taking its global total to Rs 450 crore.
The decline in Adipurush’s box office collection can be attributed to a number of factors, including negative reviews, massive ticket booking cancellations, and the release of other big-ticket films such as KGF: Chapter 2 and Samrat Prithviraj. Despite the decline in its domestic collections, Adipurush is still doing well at the global box office. The film is expected to cross the Rs 500 crore mark in the coming days.

T-Series, the production company behind Adipurush, tweeted on Monday: “We are incredibly touched by the overwhelming response shown towards Adipurush. Jai Shri Ram (sic)”. The tweet was accompanied by a video montage of fans celebrating the film’s success.
Will Adipurush be a blockbuster?
It is still too early to say whether Adipurush will be a blockbuster. The film’s box office collection will depend on its performance in the coming weeks. However, the film’s global success so far is a good sign. If Adipurush can maintain its current momentum, it is well on its way to becoming a blockbuster.
Adipurush is a retelling of the Hindu epic Ramayana, with a budget of ₹500–₹700 crore. It is directed by Om Raut and stars Prabhas as Rama, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, Sunny Singh as Lakshmana, Devdatta Nage as Hanuman, Vatsal Sheth as Vibhishan, and Sonal Chauhan as Mandodari. The film is centered on the theme of victory of good over evil.
